Tight and intense off the bat, but airing reveals tobacco, herb and spice notes along with earthy berry and plum aromas. It feels staunch and grabby, with medium-strength tannins and crusty, baked flavors of berry, black plum, mint and chocolate. Warm and rooty on the finish; drink now–2016. This is a blend of 80% Cabernet with 15% Syrah and 5% Malbec.
