Sangfroid Apple Brandy

A wild apple brandy is an exciting concept, and the producer gives the apples the spotlight, noting the brandy is “made from un-sprayed wild apples that we foraged.” The golden liquid has aromas of baked pear, banana and a hint of vanilla. The palate shows plenty of oak and a fleeting plastic note up front, shaded with apple strudel and grapefruit peel. White pepper, ginger and a hint of coconut create a brisk finish. Kara Newman
