Sanguis 2016 Verve Red (Central Coast)

Boysenberry, violets and black pepper show on the nose of this blend of Grenache, Petite Sirah and Roussanne, which also flirts with red fruits like raspberry. Chalky tannins frame the sip, which delivers flavors of fennel bulb, black raspberry and white pepper, finishing with elegant length. Matt Kettmann
