Ripe and potent, with loud red-fruit aromas that aren't particularly distinct but offer a good introduction to what's to come. Flavors of plum and berry ride loosely on the narrow palate, while the finish is tight with red-apple skin flavors and firm tannins. Much better than basic, but centered on the basics.
