Santa Ema 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Maipo Valley)

Dark purple in color, with a creamy, candied, berry fruit nose that's potent but not very stirring. The palate shows concentration, but the flavors don't go beyond the basics: cassis, blackberry and a streak of sourness at the core. Also tannic and tough. Michael Schachner
