Santa Julia 2004 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza)

A lot of up-front oak greets you, with sweet fruit and brown sugar in reserve. Cassis, plum and vanilla work the palate, which has some edge and tannin to it. Fairly well balanced, with some structure. No one will mistake it for sophisticated but what's here works. Imported by Winesellers Ltd. Michael Schachner
