It's hard to understand why Santa Julia would want to make an oaked Pinot Grigio in Mendoza, but they did. And we find it as odd and difficult to get through as you might expect. The nose is nutty and full of popcorn, while the palate offers heady, honeyed apricot and peach flavors. Michael Schachner
