The nose of this wine is like a sour-cherry pie straight out of the oven, with notes of butter crust and—my favorite part—a smoky burnt edge. Additional aromas of jasmine and earthy oregano add even more interest. Super-ripe raspberries mix it up with pine needles and cinnamon on the palate. With integrated tannins and juicy acidity, the texture of this wine is smooth and slippery. What a treat. Michael Alberty
