Saviah 2003 Stillwater Creek Vineyard Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

Spicy, slightly volatile, with smooth plum and chocolate flavors across the palate. There's some lift from the VA, and then the silky tannins carry it along for a very pleasant ride. It just lacks the extra bit of depth that would ramp it up to the next decile. Paul Gregutt
