Saviah 2018 Big Sky Cuvée Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

Merlot (54%) takes the lead on this wine, with the rest Cabernet Sauvignon (24%) and bits of Malbec (8%), Petit Verdot (8%) and Cabernet Franc. The aromas offer notes of cocoa, vanilla, cherry and herb. Creamy-feeling flavors follow. The oak gets in front of the fruit at present. Perhaps additional time will better integrate it. Sean P. Sullivan
