The current releases from Scarborough show a winemaker dedicated to obtaining excellent fruit and experimenting with an interesting range of barrel sizes and sources. Here it all works well, a Southern Rh么ne-style mix of Grenache, Mourv猫dre, Counoise and Cinsault with a flinty, mineral base note. There's a sweet-tart cherry core and a lick of peppery spice that livens up the finish. Paul Gregutt
