Schäfer-Fröhlich 2017 Frülingsplätzchen GG Dry Gold Cap Riesling (Nahe)

Cellar Selection

Earthen hints of pollen and smoke mingle into zesty lime and green plum in this spine-tingling Riesling. It's dry and medium bodied on the palate but juxtaposes a silken texture against sharp tines of electric acidity. The finish is exceptionally long and steely. A gem that's likely better to hold till 2021. It will reward extended cellaring as well. Anna Lee C. Iijima
