Schauer 2018 Ried Höchtemmel Weissburgunder (Südsteiermark)

The gentlest hazelnutty smoke plays on the nose and for now and obscures the bright lemon that illuminates the palate. The body has wonderful concentration and an inner, juicy core of pear and Mirabelle fruit, all held in a velvety, smooth embrace. It is this unusual combination of utterly slender freshness and soothing, textured depth that makes this wine so alluring. Drink now–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
