Schild Estate 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (Barossa)

Editors' Choice

A consistent performer in recent vintages, Schild Estate should be turning heads with values like this. The bouquet is intoxicatingly rich and dense, filled with cassis and chocolate fudge, while the texture in the mouth is supple and creamy. Yet the flavors are surprisingly fresh, offering cassis flavors enlivened with dashes of mint and rhubarb. It's a drink-now style, but a delicious one. Joe Czerwinski
