Schnaitmann 2018 Götzenberg GG Riesling (Württemberg)

Cellar Selection

Big in body and bold in perfume and concentration, this dry, richly textured Riesling highlights ripe, almost tropical, tones of banana and tangerine edged by rims of salt and gripping grape tannins. Sourced from sandstone soils, it's a spicy, complex wine that needs some time to meld. Best to hold till 2023 at least, it should maintain peak well through 2035. Anna Lee C. Iijima
