Schug 2001 Heritage Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma Valley)

This is a balanced and elegant Cab. It's almost muted in the quiet interplay of cassis fruit, smoky oak and rich tannins. It's the sort of wine you reach for with real food, as opposed to tasting competitions, and it's likely to age well through the decade.
