Schug 2004 Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir (Carneros)

The biggest, richest, ripest, oakiest of Schug's current trio of Pinots, this wine is gigantic in fruit. It's not quite stewed, but almost, with flavors of sweet tobacco and dried cherries that have been plumped. A little heavy, it may gain elegance with a year or so of bottle age.
