Scratch 2014 San Saba Vineyard Riesling (Arroyo Seco)

There's a honeyed character to the nose of this bottling, along with lemon cream, orange cake and a slight nuttiness. The palate shows the slightest hint of sweetness, but it slips to the background quickly, allowing the pecan, seared orange and baking spice elements to shine, with a fresh spray of lemon wedge and a creeping sense of petrol toward the finish.
