Sebastiani 2000 Appelation Selection Barbera (Sonoma Valley)

Winemaker Mark Lyon has bent over backward to enrich his Barberas, using advanced vineyard techniques and more French oak. This is a very good wine, rich and tannic, with plum, black cherry, sage and tobacco flavors and a very long, juicy finish. It retains the variety's quintessentially rustic character, and will live for decades.
