Septima 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza)

A mix of leather, hard cheese, and grass on the nose lacks the rich cassis and cherry notes Cabernet is known for. The palate is compact and chewy, with carob and herbs mixed into the fruit. A finish of oak and dill turns dull upon inspection. Michael Schachner
