This full-bodied, full-throttled Sauvignon Blanc was aged for seven months in a combination of French oak (46% new, 18% neutral) and concrete tanks. The aromas of freshly cut grass, the tropical notes of a Cara Cara orange and the scent of a warm, just-ironed cotton shirt. The flavors of pineapple sorbet, vanilla, coconut and clove spice hit the palate in wave after massive wave. There is enough acidity to maintain a sense of balance, but the wine's pronounced heat is a shortcoming. Michael Alberty
