Seven Oxen 2015 Cassidy Red (Paso Robles)

A bit lighter in the glass, this blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Mourvèdre rides a candied rose-petal aroma as well as a slightly sour tang on the nose. There's also a mix of candied and tangy cherry on the palate, alongside hints of fruit punch, leather and dewy herbs. Matt Kettmann
