Sextant 2013 Grenache Blanc (Paso Robles)

A pale straw-yellow in color, this take on a relatively rare grape delivers a nose of lime spritzer and grapefruit pith. Lively acidity shows on the palate, with flavors of poached pear and citrus rind. A brisk minerality makes this a perfect pairing for a wide range of foods, from shrimp paella to seared salmon to a BLT. Matt Kettmann
