Sextant 2015 Passage Red (Paso Robles)

A bit shy on the nose at first, this blend of 73% Syrah, 15% Grenache and 12% Mourvèdre slowly opens to reveal aromas of dark plum, caramel and coffee candies. It lands on the palate with rich caramel-kissed flavors of blackberry jam, mocha and espresso, wrapped in smooth, polished tannins. Matt Kettmann
