Sharrott 2014 Cabernet Franc (Outer Coastal Plain)

Spicy aromas of leather and tobacco introduce the nose, with accents of black fruit and licorice chiming in as well. The tannins are dusty and drying on the oaky palate, loaded with tobacco and tart plum flavors. The acidity is not quite up to the challenge of managing the relentless tannic grip. Fiona Adams
