Sharrott 2018 Merlot (Outer Coastal Plain)

Cranberry, pomegranate and plum aromas meet cigar wrapper on the nose, with a sprinkle of white pepper. Loaded with mouthwatering acidity and gently gripping, crushed velvet tannins, the palate delivers plum and cassis flavors that lead to an oak and cigar smoke finish laden with spice. Give this a couple years to become more cohesive; drink after 2024. Fiona Adams
