Shea 2016 Shea Vineyard West Hill Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Cellar Selection

This is a mix of Pommard and Dijon 115 clones, 18% whole cluster fermented, and aged in 60% new French oak. It's a ripe mouthful of blackberry and black cherry, backed with ample acidity and beautifully managed tannins. As it rolls into a lengthy finish more flavors compound—black olives, toast, coffee, chocolate and, finally, black tea tannins. Drink now through the 2020s. Paul Gregutt
