Shelburne 2014 Reserve Marquette (Vermont)

Smoky, earthy aromas are cloaked by red- and black-fruit intensity on the nose. The palate brings ripe berry flavors boosted by leather, cedar and allspice, while the tannins are grippy and spicy but cut through by a vein of acidity. Tangy currant and allspice tones carry through the finish. Fiona Adams
