Sheldrake Point 2017 Reserve Cabernet Franc (Finger Lakes)

There's a pleasing intensity of cranberry and bramble berry on the nose of this red, with lifted elements of crushed herbs and pepper. The medium-bodied palate shows a framing of integrated tannins and bright acidity around flavors of cherry, cranberry and a slight woodsy element. Peppery spice rises up on the finish of this red that saw nine months in French oak. Alexander Peartree
