The reserve Merlot draws grapes from both the Seven Hills and the DuBrul vineyards, both excellent. It is forward and ripe, with pomegranate, cherry, berry and plum fruit showing, plenty of acid, and fairly lightweight tannins. Somewhat oddly for a reserve, it seems more appropriate for near-term drinking rather than cellaring.
