Winemaker: Charles Hopkins. Light cherry and raspberry tones form the nose of this wine, which is still quite shy and reserved upon first sniff. With time, additional notes of cherry pit, tea leaf and light baking spice add more interest, as well as a touch of spiced orange rind. The palate is light and satiny, with fine tannins and bright acidity that frame the red fruit flavors and lend lingering length and vibrancy through the close. Touches of cocoa and bark dance on the back of the finish as well. Well balanced, this is in its infancy now but should mature well through 2031.
