Medium gold in color, this Chardonnay is, on the nose at least, somewhat of a throwback to the Chards of several decades ago. Unfortunately it lacks the balance to feel retro and instead feels laden with buttery oak-spice aromas, while pineapple and honeysuckle characters are at the rear. The palate is tropical fruited and creamy in texture but is overwhelmed by angular, biting acidity, making the wine feel disjointed.
