Amber/harvest gold color. Bouquet is decidedly grassy and woodsy in the first couple of whiffs; aeration unleashes intriguing scents of pine cone, lanolin, milk chocolate and oak resin. Palate entry is oily, buttery, fatty and utterly luscious; at midpalate, the taste of oaky, creamy fat and rich, oily feel go off the charts. Aftertaste continues the cream-a-thon and comes off tasting like nougat or, better, white chocolate. One of the two best Dallas Dhus I've evaluated since 1989.
