As with Soléna's other Pinots from this vintage, both the finished alcohol and percentage of new French oak have been pulled back significantly from the 2016s, to good effect. Though young and still a bit sharp, this wine has fresh cranberry fruit and highlights of bark, dark chocolate and black tea. Give it another couple of years to soften up a bit and it will show its best.
