This is the first-ever Walla Walla wine from Ron Bunnell's RiverAerie label, and the excellent fruit is mostly from Spofford Station. It's 77% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Syrah. A young wine, with pretty flavors of young vines, it leads with cherry candy and adds on some spicy herb, with hints of tomato leaf, as it weaves across the palate. Simple and satisfying.
