Tamás Estates 2004 Barbera (Livermore Valley)

Barbera is not among my preferred wines, due to its hot, harsh rustic nature. But this is a good one, and while it keeps its dark, broodingly tannic nature, it offers a wealth of cherry-pie filling and tobacco flavors that will marry well with roasted meats.
