Yering Station 2015 Village Shiraz-Viognier (Yarra Valley)

Cofermented with 2% of Viognier, the floral component shines through. It's a shy wine at first, but after some time swirling in glass, aromas of cherry cola and violets are backed with an earthy core. The palate is on the warm and plush side for cool-climate Shiraz, but the dusty oak tannins hold things together. This should blossom with a few more years in bottle. Drink now–2022.
