Shepherds Ridge 2007 Keepers of Tradition Vineyard Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

A strong effort from Shepherd's Ridge, showing decent complexity—cola, wintergreen, plum, smoke and coffee notes—ample structure and a mouthwatering finish. This is the rare Marlborough Pinot than can match with red meat, like lamb chops or venison—many are just too soft. Joe Czerwinski
