A rich malty set of aromas is balsamic in a good way, with ripe notes of cassis making the nose not hard to like. A saturated tough palate is fully extracted, maybe a little more so than ideal. Blackened berry and plum flavors finish toasty and peppery, with the fullest of weight making for a chunky final impression.
