This is quite oaky at the start, with hickory and maple aromas blending with saucy fruit to give off a BBQ'd bouquet. The palate is full, even a bit syrupy, while savory, oak-aided flavors of baked berry, raisin, fig and woodspice finish sweet and spicy. This may be trying a bit too hard. Drink through 2020.
