Silver Horse 2012 Albariño (Edna Valley)

There's no oak on this wine, which allows fruit to take front and center. It's rich with apricots, lemons, vanilla bean and white pepper, but balanced with acidity and a fresh grassy note. It's priced expensively for a California Albariño, but the wine is dry, sophisticated and elegant.
