Simple Machine 2015 Grenache (Rogue Valley)

This is in a good drinking window and, despite high alcohol, it's not over-the-top jammy. Ripe blueberry, plum and fig fruit flavors are here in abundance, and 21 months in neutral oak has enhanced the texture and smoothed out the tannins. It finishes with highlights of spiced plum jelly, fig newton cookies and a streak of mocha. Paul Gregutt
