91pointsSimple Machine 2015 The Vector Grenache-Syrah (Rogue Valley)

Big, ultraripe wines are the norm here, but in 2015 the wines are showing better balance and more complexity than before. The deep purple wine has a pleasing earthy texture and highlights of dried leaves and herbs along with massively concentrated red fruits. There are streaks of black olive, and the tannins speak of black tea, char and smoke. It's a full-throttle wine but absolutely delicious. Paul Gregutt
