Siskiyou Vineyards 1998 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Rather mute and compact in the nose, but don't judge it solely on that. In the mouth, it remains a bit closed, but it opens up to show grip and solid black fruit. A sturdy, full mouthful is what you get in this good effort from a southern Oregon producer. Michael Schachner
