Smutty's wheat wine offers a bit more nuance and restraint than its barley wine, starting with a floral and almost ethereal bouquet of orange blossom, honeysuckle, apricot and fresh citrusy hops. The robust yet lively palate offers flavors of wheat, caramel apple, orange peel and firm stone fruit, all intense yet harmonious and balanced. A medium pine-hop bitterness remains on the finish, and the alcohol warmth only shows when the beer warms.
