89pointsSnowy Peaks 2016 Sebastian's Reserve Red (Grand Valley)

This blend of 28% Cabernet Franc, 25% Malbec, 22% Petit Verdot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Merlot offers savory aromas of bell pepper, tomato leaf, woodland berry and tart cranberry. The palate is bright and juicy in notes of pomegranate and strawberry, while a supportive woodiness takes a backseat adding depth. The smooth mouthfeel is not without tannin, which takes on a sandy texture towards the lingering, raspberry-laced finish. Fiona Adams
