Sohm & Kracher 2016 St Georg Grüner Veltliner (Burgenland)

The lively notes of oak on the nose almost have a pine resin headiness. Upon this follows creamy, almost emollient softness. The palate, right now, is still under the spell of the oak but has sufficient concentration to digest it with some more bottle age. Fruit, freshness and structure will all come through. Drink from 2022. Anne Krebiehl MW
