Sokol Blosser 2020 Bluebird Cuvée Brut Sparkling (Willamette Valley)

This traditional method sparkling wine is a proprietary blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a handful of other white wine grapes. The aromas at first sniff are like a grassy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc backed by notes of petrol, orange blossom and sweet saguaro cactus meat. The bubbles pogo on the tongue as flavors like saline, lychee and vanilla fill the mouth. There's a touch of sweetness here, but it doesn't get near off-dry territory. Michael Alberty
