Sol Rouge 2011 Petite Sirah (Lake County)

Richness, ripeness and alcoholic strength all come together in this surprisingly smooth and Port-like wine. The very deep color stays black almost to the rim. Full-bodied but not harsh, it smells like prunes and boysenberries and tastes like dark-chocolate-coated cherries. Pair with cheese or a cigar. Jim Gordon
