Solminer 2018 Delanda Vineyard Blaufränkisch (Los Olivos District)

Editors' Choice

An ode to proprietor Anna deLaski's Austrian upbringing, this bottling of an exceedingly rare grape in California is a head-turner, starting with unique aromas of raspberry, hibiscus, tarragon and dried flowers. The texture is taut on the palate, where flavors of sour and dried plum met with violet—an extremely distinctive set of smells and tastes. Matt Kettmann
